NIBBELING ON SPONGECAKE.

Having a broken leg is BLOODY SHIT. That is the price to pay of racing on a slippy muddy surface on tyres that arnt very Knobbely. 

Week 5 now an I'm right pissed off. Sat in doors while every body else is outside playing. 

Well I was pissed off. I've just rememberd Jimmy Buffet and decided to take his advise. 

It may be "2.00 here but it's 5.o.Clock somewhere. "

I'm also "nibbling on sponge cake" but insted of watching the day bake I'm watching GP Speedway. 

Fuck it . It ain't like I'm gunna be driving anywhere.?

This is my friend Dan his is about to build a Sweedish chop ( it won't be his first) you can be assured it will be a genuine Sweedish chop because he is Sweedish.

I'm sure this drag bike is in the national bike museum in Birmingham.

Dave from "happygoingnowhere blog" sat down an had a chat whilst I was chugging on the Nitros. 

He took some great photos that he sent me of me and (bellow) and Milo on his 45.

He sent me others but I didn't want to stick them all on my blog as I'm sure he'll do that himself.

Brand and Tom will even stand very close together with a very cool grass tracker. Let's have a bit of distance lads, you ain't Ant an Deck. 

Bloody great book

It's finally here. My book. 

It it available NOW to download from Amazon for your phone or Kindle. It's not available in paper form. 

I wrote this a while ago and tryed to get it published but at 26000 words it wasn't deemed sellable I needed to write twice as much.Problem is that I felt the story which is true worked as it was and padding it out just to make it longer would just ruin the flow. 

I wrote this book just because the adventure we had was great, I also wanted my kids and there kids to have something to show that I wasn't always a boring old duffer. 

Writing this was a challenge for a dislexick, illiterate like myself. But like many things I've done in my life did it just to see if I could.

Please get yourself a copy, hopefully you'll like it then you can give it a lovely review.

Action shots of the 1st , short race meet. 

First race of the season. Chaos

Sun was a beut dry day at Leicester speedway an I had the pleasure of trying my Triumph for the first time. 

The bike went well but I only managed one race on it as the 2nd race was on my Yam and I fell and broke my ankle.

That's me on the outside running a bit wide. The bike definatly has potential to be competitive.

There were loads of other very cool bikes racing in the vintage class.

After I fell I looked at my foot and it appeared to by attached to my leg at a very strange angle. 

The paramedics were strait on it , they ambulanced me off of the track then gave me a bottle of Nitros oxide to suck on. The next ambulance took so long to arrive that I got to sit in the sun and use a whole bottle before they picked me up. 

Liecester hospital was not a great place but they did manage to squeeze my ankle into position ( probley the worst pain I've had) twice until they stuck it in a cast. 

I've now got an appointment to get it screwed together at a local hospital. 

You can see below that both sides of my ankle are broke. 

TRIUMPH FLAT-TRACKER finally done.

Well . Here it is . It took exactly 3months from start - ready to race. 

I won't say finnished as it's never finnished. 

So Many hours in the shed it started to wind me up. I was beginning to feel the lack of sunshine and the brain power need for buisnes as well started to drive me nuts.

But it payed off. The bike looks cool, sounds feckin ace and goes like stink. 

All that work to the head, different carb and new pipes has made it a completely different beast.

1st race on Sun then I'll see if I really have done a good job.
