DOWIES TRIUMPH FRAME

I managed to snatch a few hours, here and there, over the big bank holiday, that we have just had. Plus, it was pissing down today so i managed to spend a lot of time cutting and grinding (The naibors are now compleetly familiar with the sound of an 'angle grinder')
I'm really happy with the way that the frame is 'shaping up'. Next job, weld the hole shabang together.

A NEW BIKE

This is a bike that a friend just bought. I asked him not to tell me that he was planning on selling it as im "Week-willed and skint", a bad combination , or a case of 'one thing has caused the other'.
Good news for me is that it isn't for sale.
This is the reply he sent me...
"If your weak willed what the fuck am I. I went to see the harley determined not to buy it, or at least to come away and think about it for a day or so. It was in my yard two hours after saying hello to to the bloke selling it.So the news for you is , you will probably not get any better as you get older either, which in my book is a " reason to be cheerfull.".
This made me chuckle (a lot)

BEEN WORKIN

Been working on site (putting up a house, thats my job) this week, but still found time for some spear fishing.
As always we caught 'Sod all'. i saw a few Bass but they were all too small.
But i did find a fantastick book in the B&B we were staying in.
this a a cool photo of a car airbourn at Brooklands (a track that was unbelievably fast, untill a car became airbour into the crowd and the large 'banked' section was shut down.
Two lovely ladies on some amazing bikes. I'm afraid i cant tell you much about them (but ill try and find out more)..
Is it Dick Dastardly? No, it's E C Fernibough after doing a 100mph lap of Brooklands on his 350cc motorcycle

Dowies chop. part3

After spending hours pissing around, getting the frame jig set up, i was finnaly happy with the position of everything.
So i started cutting the top tube, to fit the headstock. It's not running parrallel to the stringline here as it's not welded in place (i'm just holding it for the photo.
I've bent two of the rear frame tubes, tacked them together and started cutting and bending a section to jion them to the main tube. (not sure it's the best solution yet as it took me bloody ages , but ill think about it during the week)

You may have seen the above pick before, but i like it, so here it is again.

Grainy photo but looks like a Honda 650four.
VERY COOL.
