I WENT FOR A QUICK RIDE TO DO A ERAND ON MY TRUMPET AND THREE THINGS HAPPENED.
- MY EXHAUST WAS BLOWING AND THRETENING TO FALL OF THE ENGINE.
- THE BLOODY OIL-PRESURE ISUE, THAT IVE HAD SINCE THE DAWNING OF TIME, REARED ITS BLOODY HEAD AGAIN.
- AND I GOT COUVERED IN SHIT (BECAUSE ALLTHOE IT WASN'T RAINING, HAVING NO FRONT MUDGUARD MADE IT FEEL LIKE IT WAS RAINING FROM BELLOW.
I MAY HAVE HAD A CRAP MORNING BUT I SPENT TIME IN THE AFTERNOON TO PISS AROUND WITH IDEAS FOR A PAINT JOB FOR MY SPORTSTER. THE. TANK AINT FINNISHED BUT IM HAPPY SO FAR.
THIS I A BIKE I USE ALL THE TIME IN ALL WEATHERS SO I'M NOT GUNNA SPEND HOURS TRYING TO BUILD A SHOW BIKE, I'M GUNNA BUILD SOMETHING THAT WORKS AND THAT IM NOT SCARED TO GET FILTHY.
THIS IS AN IDEA I TRYED FOR THE SIDE OF THE TANK AND OTHER PANNELS.
I PLAYED AROUND WITH WEARING THROUGH THE PAINT TO SHOW BITS OF PRIMER BUT I THINK I WONT BOTHER WITH THAT IDEA. I LIKE THE SPEED BLOCKS THOE.
YOU CAN SEE THE GUITAR STRAP THAT I USED FOR INSPIRATION FOR THE SKULL ( THAT AND MY MATE ANDY)

Exhaust falling off was a common problem. Just about every Triumph I owned in the 70's with the exception of the the T140 had the same issue. Always had non std exhausts . . . and always had the same problems. You have to make sure the brackets dont allow the down pipes to move forward. Every one of them ended up with flattened down pipes due to constantly being kicked/hit back on. Then the head stubs work loose and end up stripping the head thread . helicoil . . . Been there so.o.o.o.o. many times. Wiser now . . . Hind sight . . . .
bloody brit bikes whats wrong with bolting the fuckers on like every other vehicle?
Stone age technology m8 . . . Made it interesting though . . . it all had to start somewhere . . . and admit it . . . . There is an attraction toward the older stuff
